I’m not sure if it’s possible to sell out a free show, but we did.
That’s what Key Club told us anyway. Our first show, which we did invitation-only to make sure all our friends could go, was packed to the rafters last Thursday.
Sorry to those who got turned away at the door — the room filled up faster than we thought it would, we’ll play a bigger room next time so everyone can get in.
The show itself was unreal fun. It was kind of surprising to hear people singing along — it was the first show, after all — but at this point I shouldn’t be surprised by the power of the internet.
At the end of the show — after the obligatory sweaty hugs for any friend unlucky enough to ask for one — I was approached by 3 different promoters who want to book us for our next shows. So I guess you’ll be seeing more of us whether you like it or not :)
Thanks to everyone who came out to support us, we’ll keep you posted on the next public outing.
And extra special thanks to Boom D of supergoodmusic, who kept the crowd amped with his DJing prowess. Great having you on the 1s and the 2s man.
